Kids Bulb Planting Workshop: A Free Master Class at the Garden Museum
The Netherlands Flower Bulb Information Centre and top gardening writer
Martyn Cox are hosting a special free kids bulb planting master class on Wednesday 30th
September from 4 – 6pm at the
Garden Museum in London.
Martyn Cox has two children of his own, and has many years
practical gardening experience. He writes a weekly gardening column in The Mail on Sunday, plus regular columns
in Saga Magazine, Grow It! and Sainsbury’s Magazine. He is the author of Gardening with Kids and 101
Plants for Problem Places (BBC Books).
The master class aims to show children and their parents that gardening
is a fun and easy activity.
The two hour interactive workshop will include the
following:
- Children
will be invited to decorate pots (with paint, feathers, sequins etc) and then
plant narcissus bulbs ready for blooming in spring. The children will be able to take their planted pots home.
- Children
and their helpers will be shown how to plant bulbs (narcissus and crocus) in a
pattern, or in their initials in the garden outside.
- The
children will then have a go at planting too.
Please contact The Netherlands Flower Bulb Information Centre on 020 7915 4776 to
reserve a place at this fun and educational master class. Registration must be
done in advance.
